Native Nicaraguan Yuri Rugama has been working with horses for the majority of his life. His passion for farrier work began in Costa Rica, where he observed many horses in discomfort and realized there was a serious need for farriers with knowledge of correct shoeing and hoof maintenance. He studied equine anatomy and movement and worked under local farriers before settling in Florida where he continues his passion. His methods are designed for the comfort and conformation of the horse. Yuri knows the qualities of a good polo pony and his eye for young talent and patient training methods create competitive partners for the polo field. He also accepts client’s horses for training and desensitization on a case by case basis.

Rachel Rugama is a Florida attorney, originally from Southwest Virginia. She has loved horses since she was a little girl. She enjoys competing in the hunter and jumper shows in Virginia and Florida and helping new equestrians learn the basics. Besides the practice of law, her passion is foxhunting with the Palm Beach Hounds. Rachel is active with many dog and horse rescue organizations, including the South Florida SPCA and Doberman Rescue League.

Located just outside Wellington, Florida, the area offers an abundance of trails, parks and equine activities year round.
